This means federal agents are detaining a lot more people, and many are questioning if those detentions are lawful. This massive increase isn't just a statistic. It's overwhelming legal aid groups and even government lawyers. It makes you wonder about the impact on due process. Are everyone's rights being fully protected when the system is so stretched?
